Hello Muralists!
Thank you for your interest in Colfax Canvas Mural Fest! Before you dive into the application, here are a few important points and a list of everything that we’ll ask you to provide. This page won’t save until you press submit, so we suggest writing down the answers elsewhere if you want to take your time. Applications close April 30, 2025 at 11:59pm.

FAQs:
1: This is Phase 1 of our application process. We want to learn more about you, your experience, and your previous work. We won’t ask for designs until you’re invited to paint.
2: We want our festival to be diverse. Every type of muralist, age, gender identity, experience level, and community or culture are encouraged to apply. The questions below are meant to encourage you to share what makes you unique and who you represent in your work. Keeping in mind that all art will need to be youth-appropriate.
3: Your answers don’t need to be long. Answer honestly to give us a taste of who you are.
4: Muralists will be paid no less than $1,250 total. Paying folks as much as we can is at the heart of our work. Muralist pay will always come before any other aspect of the festival and we try to grow that number every year.
5: We will be giving additional weight to the applications of artists who live, work, or grew up in Aurora.
6: We will only consider 1 application per artist.
7: Housing and travel are not provided.
8: In an attempt to expand opportunities, if you have painted at Colfax Canvas within the past 3 years, your application will not be considered.
